St Augustine's Church (Anglican)

3-5 Cracroft Tce, Cashmere
Cashmere, Canterbury
Built on land given by John Cracroft Wilson, the original gothic St Augustine's dated from 1908 with a shingled spire being added in 1914. The church was enlarged and renovated in 1970 by Warren and Mahoney and thus is a blend of modern and traditional architectural styles.

The west end of the nave features a stained glass window commemorating those lost in both World Wars, and a font shaped like a giant clam shell.

With a healthy parish, lovely grounds and outlook and occasional musical performances it is worth a visit.
