Hurunui Hotel

On SH7, immediately south of the Hurunui Bridge
Hurunui, Canterbury
Built of limestone blocks in 1869, when the nearby Hurunui River was being bridged, the Hurunui Hotel is a gem of early New Zealand architecture. It holds one of the longest continuous licenses in the country and still offers travellers refreshment and accommodation.
