If your going to be in Tauranga, or the Mount, you have to check it out!!, you can either swim around the bridge, take a walk up stream or down streem, and have a good look at a major part of what NZ has to offer, it’s a reall gem, honestly, have a good look around, there is something there for every one!

Skippers Canyon
A great flood engulfs the Black Riders. The Shotover River where this scene was filmed is prone to flash floods, though not the magic variety of the film. In 1863, during the goldrushes in the area, floods swept away miners and their equipment. Queenstown tour companies will take you to Skippers Canyon ( the road is not for the faint-hearted, and is out-of-bounds for rental vehicles). Rafting and jet-boating are popular adventure activities on the Shotover.
