DayOut lists dozens of outdoor playgrounds where the family can swim, play, have a barbecue, relax. Gas or electric barbeque facilities can now be found near children's playgrounds in many parks in metropolitan areas. At other places with barbeques you may have to bring your own wood though at some sites, particularly on Waiheke Island, wood is supplied. We also list things to do for a day out with the children if you are in the city or the weather is bad. "Travelling Around" is a neat package of stories and songs about a family holiday. 8 songs are included in the story about Ruby and Jack going on holiday with their parents. Also included in the package is a gaily-coloured set of cut-out-and -dress-up figures and two games 'Holiday Lotto' and 'Tell a story'.
